Levels
Tessaban 2 School “Choeng Chum Anuchon Witthaya” provides education from Kindergarten through Grade 6. Teaching and learning are designed around a Competency-Based Curriculum, emphasizing the ability to apply knowledge, skills, personal attributes, and learning experiences in real-life situations. Students are supported according to their age, individual potential, and learning needs, while the Intensive English Program (IEP) provides additional opportunities to strengthen English communication and prepare learners for an increasingly connected world.
Early Childhood Education
Kindergarten 1 – Kindergarten 3
Early childhood education focuses on the balanced development of children in physical, emotional, social, and intellectual areas. Learning takes place through play, exploration, hands-on activities, and age-appropriate experiences.
Children develop independence, communication skills, creativity, social interaction, and basic learning readiness for primary education. English is introduced naturally through simple vocabulary, songs, stories, games, and communication activities to encourage confidence and a positive attitude toward language learning.
Lower Primary Education
Grades 1 – 3
The lower primary level establishes essential foundations in literacy, numeracy, communication, and independent learning. Students are encouraged to think, practice, and apply what they learn through Active Learning, problem-solving activities, teamwork, and learning experiences connected to everyday life.
Key competencies include self-management, communication, thinking and problem-solving, and collaboration. English and IEP learning focus on building strong foundations in listening, speaking, reading, and writing, while encouraging students to use English confidently in familiar situations.
Upper Primary Education
Grades 4 – 6
At the upper primary level, students develop more advanced knowledge and competencies. Learning emphasizes analytical and logical thinking, problem-solving, research skills, project-based learning, and the integration of knowledge across different subject areas.
Students are encouraged to collaborate, express ideas constructively, use technology appropriately, and take greater responsibility for their own learning. English and IEP activities develop more advanced communication skills, including conversation, reading comprehension, writing, and presentations, preparing students for secondary education.
Competency-Based Curriculum
Learning at every grade level focuses on what students are able to understand, perform, and apply in real situations, rather than on memorization alone. The curriculum promotes competencies in self-management, higher-order thinking, communication, collaboration, responsible citizenship, and the appropriate use of knowledge, science, and technology.
Moral values, ethics, discipline, responsibility, and the school’s core values are also integrated throughout the learning process.
Intensive English Program (IEP)
The Intensive English Program provides additional opportunities for students to develop practical English communication skills. Learners use English through conversations, presentations, language games, projects, digital learning resources, and other meaningful activities.
The IEP is closely connected with the competency-based approach by encouraging students to use English in practice, communicate confidently, think independently, solve problems, and collaborate effectively with others.
